RETIRED FDNY FIREFIGHTER
Chris Landano began his public service career in the late 1990s and went on to serve New York City for more than 20 years.
While working as both a firefighter and forensic photographer for the FDNY, Chris became entangled in debris during a fire in Corona, Queens — a life-threatening moment that would later inspire his work developing a safety and orientation device for hazardous environments.
INVENTOR OF TRAKBELT360
A NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE PROPELLED Chris TO CREATE THIS PRODUCT.
More than a decade ago, while working as a photographer for the FDNY’s forensics unit, Chris became trapped on debris while responding to a building collapse in Queens.
After freeing himself by releasing his belt and leaving damaged equipment behind, the idea for TRAKBELT360™ was born.
